General Information

Overview

In Multi Crew Cooperation you will learn how to operate as part of a small team and how to lead a flight crew as pilot-in-command or co-pilot on a modern day flight deck. You will develop the skills and behaviours required to plan, direct and control all aspects of a multi crew flight. Good and poor multi crew cooperation will be evaluated and contrasted. You will also evaluate flight deck environmental elements and events.

Pre-requisites or Co-requisites

Prerequisites: AVAT13011 Aviation Human Factors (Air Transport Pilot Licence) and AVAT11006 Aviation Law

Important note: Students enrolled in a subsequent unit who failed their pre-requisite unit, should drop the subsequent unit before the census date or within 10 working days of Fail grade notification. Students who do not drop the unit in this timeframe cannot later drop the unit without academic and financial liability. Attendance Requirements

All on-campus students are expected to attend scheduled classes – in some units, these classes are identified as a mandatory (pass/fail) component and attendance is compulsory. International students, on a student visa, must maintain a full time study load and meet both attendance and academic progress requirements in each study period (satisfactory attendance for International students is defined as maintaining at least an 80% attendance record).

This was the first full Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) unit run at CQU under the Aviation Australia Part 142 approval. The briefing sessions and the flight training sessions in the simulator were delivered flawlessly.

Recommendation

This delivery will continue.

The anticipated number of students is around 40 in Term 2 -2021. Additional MCC qualified staff would be required.

Recommendation

Recruitment of a minimum of two MCC qualified staff is recommended for a smooth delivery of this unit.
