General Information

Overview

This unit is designed to introduce students to maintenance strategies, philosophies and procedures, including the basic principles of asset management systems. Students will investigate and report on key concepts relating to asset and maintenance management in their organisation. They will analyse causes and develop solutions to asset and maintenance management problems and recognise and apply quality control procedures and quality assurance systems. This unit also helps students to develop the multi-literacy skills they will require to be a successful learner.

There are no requisites for this unit.

Attendance Requirements

All on-campus students are expected to attend scheduled classes - in some units, these classes are identified as a mandatory (pass/fail) component and attendance is compulsory. International students, on a student visa, must maintain a full time study load and meet both attendance and academic progress requirements in each study period (satisfactory attendance for International students is defined as maintaining at least an 80% attendance record).

Very good course. The flexibility is a highlight, being able to swap around the lecture times to suit public holidays is great.

Recommendation

Lectures and tutorials are recorded and posted on moodle soon after the Zoom session. Flexibility in unit delivery will be maintained as much as possible.
