Overview
In this unit students will develop financial, legal, ethical and professional skills to enable them to successfully transition to a qualified practitioner. Students will explore basic business concepts, knowledge of the ethics and law, professional regulation guidelines and the skills required to delegate tasks to supporting staff. Interviewing, resume development and contract negotiation skills will also be developed.

Pre-requisites or Co-requisites
Pre-requisites: All Year 4, Term 1 Units.
Important note: Students enrolled in a subsequent unit who failed their pre-requisite unit, should drop the subsequent unit before the census date or within 10 working days of Fail grade notification. Students who do not drop the unit in this timeframe cannot later drop the unit without academic and financial liability. Attendance Requirements
All on-campus students are expected to attend scheduled classes - in some units, these classes are identified as a mandatory (pass/fail) component and attendance is compulsory. International students, on a student visa, must maintain a full time study load and meet both attendance and academic progress requirements in each study period (satisfactory attendance for International students is defined as maintaining at least an 80% attendance record).

Feedback from Informal feedback from students; feedback from staff
Live face-to-face content delivered from Week 7 to 11 could be delivered in a more flexible online format to address the currently high Term 2 on-campus requirement for fourth-year students
It is recommended that the unit coordinator explores strategies to transition live face-to-face content delivered from Week 7 to Week 11 to more flexible online delivery methods.
