Overview
This unit is the final of two research project units that are compulsory in the CG84 Bachelor of Science (Honours) Course. In this unit, you will finalise your independent research project, commenced in Research Project A.

Pre-requisites or Co-requisites
Pre-requisite: SCIH14001 Honours Preparation Co-requisite: SCIH14002 Research Project A
Important note: Students enrolled in a subsequent unit who failed their pre-requisite unit, should drop the subsequent unit before the census date or within 10 working days of Fail grade notification. Students who do not drop the unit in this timeframe cannot later drop the unit without academic and financial liability. Attendance Requirements
All on-campus students are expected to attend scheduled classes – in some units, these classes are identified as a mandatory (pass/fail) component and attendance is compulsory. International students, on a student visa, must maintain a full time study load and meet both attendance and academic progress requirements in each study period (satisfactory attendance for International students is defined as maintaining at least an 80% attendance record).
Recommended Student Time Commitment
Each 12-credit Undergraduate unit at CQUniversity requires an overall time commitment of an average of 25 hours of study per week, making a total of 300 hours for the unit.

This unit is a research-based unit designed to allow the student to conduct their project with a pass/fail (non-graded) pathway. While we always welcome the student feedback to improve - comments like this are not appropriate to the function of this unit. As a committee, we have decided that clarity will be given to students at the beginning of the term to illustrate what each unit in the course is designed to do.

1 Written Assessment
You must submit an online project progress report through Moodle. The reporting tasks will be available on the Moodle site in weeks 2, 5 and 9. The progress reports will contain questions regarding the progress of the research project, and which identify any barriers to commencement or continuation of the project. Submission of progress reports will be on the following dates: Friday of Week 2, Friday of Week 5, and Friday May of Week 9.

Feedback on any issues will be addressed by direct contact with the student in the week following completion of the report.
The course is non graded (pass/fail only). Candidates will be expected to update their project progress through the online form.

Why is academic integrity important?
A breach of academic integrity may result in one or more penalties, including suspension or even expulsion from the University. It can also have negative implications for student visas and future enrolment at CQUniversity or elsewhere. Students who engage in contract cheating also risk being blackmailed by contract cheating services.
