The Associate Degree of Health Care is an exit point for the Bachelor of Nursing. You may exit with an Associate Degree of Heath Care after successfully completing 96 credit points from the Bachelor of Nursing. As a graduate from the Associate Degree of Health Care, you will not be able to register as a nurse. However, this Associate Degree will provide recognition of successful completion of health and nursing related study and may be used for entry into other health related study areas.
Students graduating from the exit award, Associate Degree in Health Care, may seek employment in the health care industry as an un-regulated health care worker. Students may also enter other health related study areas and request credit for study undertaken in this award.

The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) will be notified of the proposed exit awards from CQ23. Notification will include assurance that exit awards do not provide students with the eligibility to register as an Enrolled Nurse.
Level 1 and Level 2 units from CQ23 to the value of 96 credit unit points. Equivalent units completed in previous CQ23 curriculums may also be considered as eligible units for credit towards this award. Eligible units do not include those offered as credit exemption from another course/s prior to, or, during enrolment in CQ23.
