Course Overview

In this course you will develop the capacity to identify, analyse and resolve general problems relating to professional practice in Financial Planning. The course is designed for current financial planners seeking greater depth of knowledge in foundation and applied areas of Financial Planning. The course contains considerable flexibility and may be configured to include the three "bridging units" required for practice in Financial Planning. The course is orientated to the educational standards required in the industry. Upon graduation you will be able to enrol with advanced standing into the Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning or the Master of Financial Planning.

Support roles within the Financial Planning industry. Graduates of the Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning may enroll in the Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning to attain full accreditation in Financial Planning for practice as a Financial Planner or Estate Planner.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must demonstrate one of the following:

1. A completed Australian Bachelor degree, or equivalent qualification, in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution OR

2. A completed Diploma of Financial Planning, or equivalent, current registration as a certified practicing financial planner, and 5 years relevant work experience.

Advanced standing may be awarded to prospective students who have additional relevant experience in financial planning industry and who may have completed formal and informal training. Advanced standing will be considered in accordance with Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) guidelines and CQUniversity policies.
