ALLH13010 - Research Project for Health Professionals

General Information

Unit Synopsis

Evidence-based practice is an essential skill for healthcare professionals. In this unit you will develop a research question intended to inform Allied Health practice. As part of following a defined research process, you will then undertake a systematic information search, critically appraise the evidence to make informed decisions, and effectively communicate the outcomes. This capstone research unit will build upon your existing knowledge and skills by requiring you to undertake the evidence-based practice process and present your research findings to a wider Allied Health community.

You must obtain an overall mark for the unit of at least 50%, or an overall grade of ‘pass’ in order to pass the unit. If any ‘pass/fail’ tasks are shown in the table above they must also be completed successfully (‘pass’ grade). You must also meet any minimum mark requirements specified for a particular assessment task, as detailed in the ‘assessment task’ section (note that in some instances, the minimum mark for a task may be greater than 50%).
