CART13005 - Contemporary Dance 5: Creating and Marketing a Performance

General Information

Unit Synopsis

In this unit, you create your own group-devised performance of between six and eight minutes in length. Over the term, you will collaboratively submit a concept proposal for the dance, then create, rehearse, choreograph, market and finally perform the dance in a final-term performance night. As a reflective practitioner, you will have the opportunity to consider the strengths and weaknesses of your group performance. Your dance classes will continue throughout the term, enabling you to consolidate and enhance your skills.

International students, on a student visa, must maintain a full time study load and meet both attendance and academic progress requirements in each study period (satisfactory attendance for International students is defined as maintaining at least an 80% attendance record).
