Clinical Placement 4 provides students with their fourth block of practical experience with a chiropractic clinic. Students will be expected to perform as a functional team member under minimal guidance of the clinic supervisors, will build on the theoretical knowledge and practical skills learnt in the previous three clinical courses of the program and will therefore be expected to contribute to patient assessment and treatment. They will be expected to actively contribute to clinical decision making and treatment and to be able to undertake many tasks independently. Students must demonstrate a mastery level of knowledge and understanding of chiropractic procedures, processes and documentation and demonstrate compliance with Chiropractic Professional Competency Standards. The course concludes with the Practice Exit Exam, which is essential to pass before entering Clinical Practice 5 and Clinical Practice 6.
