PERF20038 - Community Arts - Advanced

General Information

Unit Synopsis

This unit provides you with a professional level of conceptual and practical knowledge, skills of community arts policy, practice and application. Comprised of scholarly, industry and practical approaches to community arts policy and practice, this unit is designed to introduce you to advanced knowledge about community arts policies, national and international funding opportunities, and working in collaboration with local communities and councils. As the Community Arts sector continues to be a key employment pathway for many creative industries and creative arts graduates, this unit and the specialisation to which it contributes provides an opportunity for both those with cognate undergraduate qualifications and/or experience, as well as community arts workers already working in the field, to gain postgraduate knowledge, skills and qualifications. This unit and the Community Arts major provide a key way to develop authentic engagement relationships between community and other arts organisations, arts professionals and CQUniversity.
