Feedback, Recommendations and Responses

Every unit is reviewed for enhancement each year. At the most recent review, the following staff and student feedback items were identified and recommendations were made.

Source: Student reflections
Feedback
Telehealth placements and supervision are a good introduction to working online.
Recommendation
Supervision and placements in telehealth should continue to be included in this unit.
Action Taken
There were more telehealth placements on offer for students this year. Group supervision was a hybrid of face-to-face for students on campus and online for remote students.
Source: Student reflections
Feedback
Group supervision should be the first task undertaken in the lectures every week.
Recommendation
Discuss with students at the start of each term whether this is the preferred structure for the classes in this unit.
Action Taken
Students preferred to complete their clinical case presentations first and then participate in group supervision. This structure will be retained.

Feedback
Students found the online platform difficult to log their hours due to the glitches in the program (e.g., hours not calculating correctly).
Recommendation
The previous versions of the supervision forms in PDF and the logbook in an Excel spreadsheet will be used instead of the online platform.
Action Taken
Nil.

Feedback
Students requested greater clarification regarding contact hours claimable for direct client contact and associated client activities.
Recommendation
Add to the Moodle site for this unit the Wellness Centre Manual and Master of Clinical Psychology Placement Manual, which were provided to students in Term 1 so these are easily accessible during this unit.
Action Taken
Nil.

Feedback
Students liked that the viva examination was completed in Weeks five and six, rather than week 12.
