Building on Principal Performance Studios 3, this unit will extend the activity of the Music Theatre, Drama and Technical Theatre specialisations. All students will develop concurrent concepts of 'freedom' working organically through personal connection, impulse and imagination with analytic skills to shape the theatre artist?s craft across material within a range of styles and demands. Students in the Music Theatre specialisation will concentrate on the creative study of prescribed composers and specific styles of song as well as pursuing greater skills in dance routines building on increasing security in technique. Drama students will concentrate on style in vocal delivery and physical expression associated with the performance of a variety of texts. Students in Technical Theatre will explore the aesthetics and functions of sound design, creation, playback and reinforcement.
