Responsibilities: 

·         Collected secondary data and developed database using EndNote for a research project titled ‘climate change policy and planning in the context of Bangladesh.

·         Taught a course titled ‘Sustainable Society and Social Impact Assessment.

 

 January,  2007- March 2008: National Project Professional (Population and Development): United Nation Population   Fund (UNFPA), Bangladesh

Responsibilities:  

·         Provided technical support and implemented five (5) technical assistance projects in the area of population, gender and development.

·         Organized training and workshops for officials of government and non-government agencies as compoent of the TA projects

·         Coordinated research activities in the area of population and gender issues as compoentnt of the TA projects.

·         Liaised with government agencies including line ministries and other stakeholders.
Reported to UNFPA and government stakeholders on the progress of implementation of projects

 

            2005-2007: ESIA consultant, Felix International, Bangladesh 

Responsibilities:

·         Carried out Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for development projects,

·         Written and developed ESIA reports

·         Reviewed the quality of EIA reports,

·         Designed environmental management plan.

·          

 

             July 1998- December 2000: Assistant Coordinator (Project), Ministry of Home Affairs

            Responsibilities:

·         Coordinated and implemented two projects funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Department for International Development (DFID) in the areas of environmental conservation, reproductive health and gender issue respectively.

·         Developed capacity building projects on   women empowerment and participation in the development process.

·         Reported to the funding agencies on project implementation. 

·         Organized training and workshops for stakeholders and liaison with line ministries and international agencies.
