Course summary

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, although a Certificate III Business or other relevant qualification or vocational experience is recommended.

Standard Course Structure

Students are expected to undertake 4 - 6 hours of study each week. Each unit must be completed within 10 weeks. Total duration of the course is 12 - 18 months.

Enrolments are taken throughout the year on a continuous basis.

Load
Twelve (12) units must be successfully completed - Four (4) core units and eight (8) elective units

Notes

Distance students require strong self motivation and must have 4-6 hours per week available for study for each unit. This course is self paced so students must have sound literacy, numeracy skills and technology skills to read and follow textbooks and online course material. This course is delivered by distance education so students must have access to a computer and the internet. Students are allocated 10 weeks from enrolment to complete each unit.
