This qualification provides a pathway to work as a retail sales consultant in any business that sells beauty or cosmetic products and services. This can include beauty and hairdressing salons, retail outlets and department stores.

CQUniversity Rockhampton City VET IN SCHOOLS (VETiS)

Thursdays from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm (30 minute break)

One day per week


Classes will commence from Thursday, 2 February 2017.

Students will need to apply for this delivery mode through their High School VET Coordinator.

Resource Requirements

Access to a computer with internet to complete online assessments. 32G USB, pens, pencils, and writing paper.
Details of a student make-up kit will be provided which is recommended, but not compulsory, to purchase for the practical components of this qualification. 

Model Requirements

It is each student’s responsibility to ensure that a model is obtained and booked into the appointment book for all Practical Assessments.

Uniform Requirements

Practical Presentation:  
Black tunic or beauty polo shirt available from the CQUni Bookshop.        
Pants - ¾ Pants or black knee length skirt with stockings, NO TIGHTS, JEGGINGS or LEGGINGS. 
Covered in Flat Shoes.
Minimum makeup, minimum jewelry.

Textbook Requirements

Professional Beauty Therapy, 2015, Second Edition, Lorraine Nordmann and Lorraine Day, available as ebook via Moodle.

Optional - purchase hard copy from CQUni Bookshop approx. $120, purchase online for $80 approx, or hire one from the CQUni Library for no cost. 

Practical Requirements

Three to five days will be undertaken in a beauty workplace during VET Term 2
