Are you interested in a career in a justice related profession? Students learn how to research, analyse and present information relevant to the criminal justice system and communicate with clients on justice related issues. The intended purpose of this course is to provide participants with a sound grounding in workplace skills, knowledge of organisations & management practice, legal knowledge to work effectively and research in the justice field.

Student Outcomes, Career Opportunities and Occupations

  1. Students will receive a Result of Assessment within 21 days of completion of each unit/module or within 21 days of the ‘close of study’ date.
  2. Students who successfully complete all required units/modules will receive their qualification and an Academic Statement itemising all units/modules successfully completed.
  3. Following receipt of written advice from the student (or teacher) that the student does not intend to complete the full course, the student will be issued with a Statement of Attainment listing all units/modules successfully completed.

This course would suit applicants who wish to be employed with the Queensland Police Service, justice-related occupations, corrective services in custodial and support roles, the Department of Justice and Attorney General including courts, legal offices, customs service, security industry in support/administration areas, private investigations in support/administration areas, parks and wildlife, the Department of Transport, youth justice roles, Crime and Misconduct Commission in support/administration areas, community legal centres or other State and Federal Government Departments in compliance and workplace health and safety roles.
