Each unit in this course has a practical component. Students who are not already working in a primary or high school workplace must organise a voluntary work placement. Students who are already employed as a Teacher Aide, can use their existing work to fulfill practical requirements.

All students will need to complete third party reports, practical assessment, and a vocational placement logbook. These observations and reports will need to be signed off by a qualified, registered teacher. Students will be required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of placement throughout the duration of the course.

All students will need to hold a Blue Card prior to starting their practical work placement.  For more information on the 'Blue Card' visit - https://www.bluecard.qld.gov.au or phone: 1800 113 611.
