This qualification reflects the roles of individuals who perform mainly routine tasks and procedures, using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge and taking some responsibility for the quality of the work outcomes. Participants will learn the basics of health and safety, risk management, communication, planning and preparing to undertake a task, hand and power tool operation, measurements and calculations.
There are no entry requirements. It is recommended that students have a sound knowledge of Year 10 Maths and English.

Optional Training Camp
Students may participate in a one week training camp offered by QMEA. Students will need to register their interest in this camp via their school coordinator as CQUniversity is not involved in the delivery of this camp.
Resource Requirements
Students are required to supply their own personal protective equipment as required including appropriate clothing and footwear.
