It is highly recommended that students undertake EMER12001 Emergency Services and the Community in the first term of study. 

The Bachelor of Emergency Service (BEmergServ) is open to students who have successfully completed a relevant emergency service qualification. Students may be admitted on the basis of either a Diploma or an Advanced Diploma qualification and appropriate credit will be made available. Students who are admitted on the basis of:

  • A Diploma qualification must complete all compulsory units, which consists of the 10 Compulsory Units listed below (that is, 1 from Block One and 9 from Block Two) and 2 minors from the 3 options available for this course.
  • An Advanced Diploma qualification must complete the 9 compulsory units from Block Two listed below and 1 minor from the 3 options available for this course.
