Elective Opportunities

There are three majors in the Master of Information Technology and students are able to take as electives either of the remaining two majors in the course, excluding the discipline capstone project. Below is a table showing the units available as electives from the three majors. You have the opportunity of choosing four units from a particular Masters course and completing a minor in a related discipline.

Internship Opportunity

Students in the Master of Information Technology are able to apply for an internship.

To qualify for the internship, students need to undertake and have completed the core unit COIT20249 Professional Skills in Information Communication Technology. This unit will prepare you for working with the internship host. Specific prerequisites for the internship are the same as for your discipline capstone project.

To qualify for an internship students must be in good academic standing, successfully pass the CQUniversity English Language Placement test and complete an interview with the internship host.
