Core Structure

Number of units: 6 Total credit points: 36

Students should note that they may be required to take some courses in the Distance Education Mode depending on the campus of their study.

Year 1 - Term 1
Students must complete the following compulsory units:
COMM11003 Career Communications
COIT11222 Programming Fundamentals
COIT11226 Systems Analysis
COIT11238 Networked Infrastructure Foundations
Year 1 - Term 2
Students must complete the following compulsory units:
COIT11223 Information Technology and Society
COIT11237 Database Design & Implementation

Elective

Number of units: 2 Total credit points: 12

2 Electives

 

Students may undertake either:

  • both the two elective courses from the ICT Level 1 courses listed below
  • one of the courses listed below and one elective from any other 6 unit of credit undergraduate course offered by CQUniversity
  • two electives chosen from any other 6 unit of credit undergraduate course offered by CQUniversity provided all required pre-requisites for those courses have been met.
