This course is unavailable to students who have completed an undergraduate or Master degree in social work.

The Master of Social Work (Qualifying) requires students to complete 12 units adding up to 96 credit points. Each unit is a compulsory unit.

Year 1 - Term 1
Students must complete the following compulsory units:
SOWK28001	Understanding Social Work: Foundational Knowledge and Skills for Practice
SOWK28002	First Nations Knowledge and Social Work Practice with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples
SOWK28003	Psychosocial Health and Wellbeing Across the Lifespan
SOWK28004	Intersectionality and Social Justice in Social Work Practice

Year 1 - Term 2
Students must complete the following compulsory units:
SOWK29001	Ethical and Legal Issues in Practice
SOWK28005	Social Work Field Education 1

Year 2 - Term 1
Students must complete the following compulsory units:
SOWK29002	Working with Families, Groups and Communities
SOWK29003	Contemporary Social Policy and Social Work
SOWK29004	Family and Structural Violence
SOWK29006	Social Work Research for Practice

Year 2 - Term 2
Students must complete the following compulsory units:
SOWK29005	Social Work Theories and the Practice Context
