In order to complete this course, you must:

Core Structure
Number of units: 3 Total credit points: 18

You will begin by studying EITHER

ENEG11005 Fundamentals of Professional Engineering (12 credit point) OR

ENAG11008 Professional & Sustainable Engineering Practice (6 credit point) AND one of the following:

  • ENEG11009 Fundamentals of Energy and Electricity (6 credit point)
  • ENEG11006 Engineering Statics (6 credit point)
  • ENEG11008 Materials for Engineers (6 credit point)

You will also study the following introductory mathematics unit (compulsory): MATH11247 Foundation Mathematics (6 credit point)

Note: If you are considering entering Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), you should select ENEG11005. ENEG11005 is only offered in Term 1. If you are considering entering Associate Degree of Engineering, you should select ENAG11008 and an elective.

You will choose one (1) elective.

General electives:

  • ENEG11009 Fundamentals of Energy and Electricity
  • ENEG11006 Engineering Statics
  • ENEG11008 Materials for Engineers

Resource Systems/ Mining electives. These units are associated with Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Resource Systems) and Associate Degree of Engineering (Mining). If you are considering entering other majors in either of these courses, you should select from the General electives.

  • ENAR12014 Introduction to Mining Technology
  • ENAR12004 Mine Management and Safety
  • ENAR12013 Mine Planning & Design
  • PHYG12003 Geological Science

You will begin by studying EITHER
