CM51 Bachelor of Health and Rehabilitation Science

Core Structure

Number of units: 24 Total credit points: 144

This course is available to students who wish to exit from the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) (CB85) or the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) (CB84).

This course will enable students to exit with a Bachelor of Health and Rehabilitation Science. This will support career paths into health related service careers.

Students attend observational work-based learning throughout Year 1 and Year 2 and this requires mandatory health and security requirements as detailed in the parent courses.

CB85 Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) 

Students must complete the following:

  • 16 Core units (96 credit points), either ESSC12001 Exercise and Sport Physiology or BMSC12006 Cardiorespiratory Physiology and Measurement to be completed, ALLH12008 Functional Anatomy and Biomechanics or PSIO12006 Functional Anatomy and Biomechanics; and
  • 48 credit points from list specified Elective/Optional units, of which 36 credit points must be selected from Level 3 or 4 units. 

 

 Note: If students have completed and passed any clinical placements units, those units receive 12 credit points. Students must have Head of Course approval to undertake PSIO14006 Research Project.

CB84 Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) 

Students must complete the following: 

16 Core units (96 credit points), either INDG11006 Education and Learning: Colonisation and Decolonisation in the Cultural Interface or INDG11013 First Nation and Non-Indigenous History: The Interface, SOCL19065 Rural Communities and Health or ALLH13011 Rural and Remote Practice for Health Professionals need to be completed; and
48 credit points from list specified Elective/Optional units, of which 36 credit points must be selected from Level 3 or 4 units. 
 

 Note: If students have completed and passed any clinical placements units, those units receive 18 credit points.
