You must obtain an overall mark for the unit of at least 50%, or an overall grade of ‘pass’ in order to pass the unit. If any ‘pass/fail’ tasks are shown in the table above they must also be completed successfully (‘pass’ grade). You must also meet any minimum mark requirements specified for a particular assessment task, as detailed in the ‘assessment task’ section (note that in some instances, the minimum mark for a task may be greater than 50%).

Feedback, Recommendations and Responses

Every unit is reviewed for enhancement each year. At the most recent review, the following staff and student feedback items were identified and recommendations were made.

Feedback
This was an enjoyable subject and was well delivered. Some of the questions for the assessments were too open to interpretation which resulted in lecture and tutorial time being taken up with questions regarding assessments.
Recommendation
The assessment items may be revised. The assignments are required to involve students’ actual industry projects where they work. Hence, they require lot of explanations to realize what need to be disclosed in the project report. More time should be provided explaining the requirements of each of the assignment projects.
Action Taken
Quality will be maintained and improved time to time. marking rubrics were revised with clearer requirements.

Feedback
Although happy with the course, I find having to wait four weeks for the final assignment mark and overall unit mark is unreasonable.
Recommendation
Giving meaningful feedback for the all the assignments to all of the students in a timely manner is always a challenge. For the future lecturer and marker extra care is recommended in this avenue.
Action Taken
Lecturer was reminded to post marked assignment within the time frame stated in the Unit Profile.

Feedback
Definitely needs to provide clearer learnings on how to analyse non financial benefits, and how to present a business case that has no revenue (most government sector projects for ancilliary assets).
Recommendation
Most assessment items in this unit require involvement of project information from students’ workplace. So, every project is different from one another. The future lecturer will be notified to discuss in detail of various aspects of how the beneficiaries of different projects can be accounted for.
Action Taken
Lecturer provided examples and case studies that could help students.

Feedback
Unit learnings can be directly applied at the workplace.
Recommendation
The feature will be maintained.
