Unit Synopsis

This unit develops skills required for assessing the maturity of asset management processes, including performing audit activities. Students will establish an asset management maturity process that can be applied in their organisational setting.

Prerequisites: ENMM20023, ENMM20025, ENMM20029 & ENMM20024

Important note: Students enrolled in a subsequent unit who failed their pre-requisite unit, should drop the subsequent unit before the census date or within 10 working days of Fail grade notification. Students who do not drop the unit in this timeframe cannot later drop the unit without academic and financial liability. Attendance Requirements

All on-campus students are expected to attend scheduled classes - in some units, these classes are identified as a mandatory (pass/fail) component and attendance is compulsory. International students, on a student visa, must maintain a full time study load and meet both attendance and academic progress requirements in each study period (satisfactory attendance for International students is defined as maintaining at least an 80% attendance record).

Recommended Student Time Commitment

Each 6-credit Postgraduate unit at CQUniversity requires an overall time commitment of an average of 12.5 hours of study per week, making a total of 150 hours for the unit.

This is a graded unit: your overall grade will be calculated from the marks or grades for each assessment task, based on the relative weightings shown in the table above. You must obtain an overall mark for the unit of at least 50%, or an overall grade of ‘pass’ in order to pass the unit. If any ‘pass/fail’ tasks are shown in the table above they must also be completed successfully (‘pass’ grade). You must also meet any minimum mark requirements specified for a particular assessment task, as detailed in the ‘assessment task’ section (note that in some instances, the minimum mark for a task may be greater than 50%).

More frequent face-to-face Zoom sessions needed.
Recommendation
More frequent Zoom session opportunities will be looked at to enhanced students learning experience and also students will be frequently reminded to attend the sessions.
Action Taken
Weekly interactive Zoom sessions were offered. As a result, students engaged more spontaneously to discuss their needs and issues with assessments, Moodle and content navigation or further emerging issues.

Simplified assessment tasks and requirements.
Recommendation
Assessment tasks and requirements will be reviewed and checked for further simplification without compromising the quality and standard of the assessment.
Action Taken
All the assessment tasks and requirements were thoroughly reviewed and modified. As a result, the student's experienced an enhanced understanding of the assessments, expectations and requirements in submission. These changes were vital to enhance students learning experience and submission quality for excellent outcomes from the unit.

Assessment submission dates need to be checked and balanced if possible and also submission of assessments need to be on time.

Assessment submission dates were reviewed and balanced. Changes resulted in students having more time to prepare and submit their largest assessments item.

Recommendation
Students' observations regarding the study guide links that are not working will be checked. Attempts will be made to fix or replace the broken links with new ones where possible.

Lecture and online resources should be more supportive for student.
Recommendation
An improved continuous improvement approach will be in place to enhance the quality of the unit contents by adding new case studies and clear instructions for assignment requirements. Students will be given adequate time in the class to ask questions to ensure lecture contents and assignment questions are aligned.
