Feedback, Recommendations and Responses

Every unit is reviewed for enhancement each year. At the most recent review, the following staff and student feedback items were identified and recommendations were made.

Source: Examination results Students
Feedback
Examination - transitioning students lacked general Exam preparation therefore questions suitablilty of a exam as a assessment item weighted at 40% for new students. This has been discussed with Kelly Inglis (co-cordinator) who believes this to be a historically a typical pattern for Transition students (Enrolled Nurses) undertaking Pathophysiology in the undergraduate program.
Recommendation
Change assessment method or enhance exam preparation already embedded in the course.
Action Taken

Feedback
Student feedback and exam results evealed a wider gap in knowledge than anticipated in the EN mapping preparation for the course. Student feedback suggest that the TAFE Diploma has limited content in pathophsiology. In additon, students who completed there TAFE program greater than five years and not be accuratley mapped.
Recommendation
Review and remap science subjects of Diploma of nursing program.
Action Taken

Feedback
Student for both transition courses required high levels of support in reagards to academic and information literacy.
Recommendation
Great individual assessment prior to course. Closer liasion/discussion with TAFE in regards to academic preparedness - particularly with the dual sector merger.
