Attendance Requirements
All on-campus students are expected to attend scheduled classes - in some units, these classes are identified as a mandatory (pass/fail) component and attendance is compulsory. International students, on a student visa, must maintain a full time study load and meet both attendance and academic progress requirements in each study period (satisfactory attendance for International students is defined as maintaining at least an 80% attendance record).
Recommended Student Time Commitment
Each 6-credit Undergraduate unit at CQUniversity requires an overall time commitment of an average of 12.5 hours of study per week, making a total of 150 hours for the unit.
Assessment Tasks
| Assessment Task | Weighting |
|---|---|
| 1. Written Assessment | 50% |

The layout of the unit definitely taught me a lot about community nursing and a different way of delivery holistic care. The weekly content was interesting to follow.
Continue with case study and unit content with updates for best practice and updated resources. Unit content will require review as learning outcomes have changed for the last offering and are to be implemented for 2021.
While the unit was restructured to align with industry standards and recommendations from external stakeholders, a case study was retained as the basis for assessment one. Assessment item two provided students with an opportunity do develop their own topic related to an area of nursing from a community perspective.

Providing proactive feed back for assessment item 2 by the additional step of submitting a topic for approval long with background information as a rationale for the need to explore the nominated area was also well received.
This opportunity enabled students to receive proactive and formative feedback for their final assessment item. Students indicated this process enabled them to receive individual attention especially while being part of a large online cohort. This practice should be continued.
