Unit Synopsis
This placement provides a capstone learning experience for you to integrate and consolidate the content of other units completed within the Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics (CL88/CM61) and to develop your graduate capabilities. You will be able to showcase your potential to future employers and enhance your curriculum vitae by adding to your skills and experiences. You will be a competent professional who is able to make a valuable contribution to your chosen workplace over a 4 week internship. Further workplace networking will assist you in your transition from student to professional.

Pre-requisites/Co-requisites: NUTR29011 Placement : Community and Public Health Nutrition NUTR29013 Placement : Regional/Rural/Remote NUTR29004 Placement: ICM Networking and Practice Modules NUTR29009 Nutrition and Dietetics Capstone As these are WIL units they will be completed sequentially in standard and non-standard teaching periods. Students can not commence the WIL unit NUTR29009 Nutrition and Dietetics Capstone until NUTR29014 Assessment of Dietetic Competence has been successfully completed. Important note: Students enrolled in a subsequent unit who failed their pre-requisite unit, should drop the subsequent unit before the census date or within 10 working days of Fail grade notification. Students who do not drop the unit in this timeframe cannot later drop the unit without academic and financial liability. Attendance Requirements
All on-campus students are expected to attend scheduled classes - in some units, these classes are identified as a mandatory (pass/fail) component and attendance is compulsory. International students, on a student visa, must maintain a full time study load and meet both attendance and academic progress requirements in each study period (satisfactory attendance for International students is defined as maintaining at least an 80% attendance record).
Recommended Student Time Commitment
Each 6-credit Postgraduate unit at CQUniversity requires an overall time commitment of an average of 12.5 hours of study per week, making a total of 150 hours for the unit.
