PDC202203 - Person-Centred Practice - A Housing and Homelessness Lens: Homelessness Qld

Version Effective: 2nd of October, 2026
Details

Microcredential Summary

Designed primarily for new, emerging, and early-career practitioners, the micro-credential provides an evidence-informed introduction to contemporary homelessness practice. It supports participants to build confidence, develop a shared understanding of key practice approaches, and strengthen their ability to work effectively within complex housing and homelessness systems.

This micro-credential is also valuable for experienced practitioners transitioning into homelessness services from related sectors and for organisations seeking a consistent, sector-informed induction and workforce development resource.

Unlike many existing short courses that focus primarily on awareness or information sharing, this micro-credential bridges the gap between theory and practice. Participants will explore contemporary evidence, lived and living experience insights, and proven practice approaches while developing practical skills that can be immediately applied within frontline homelessness and housing settings.

Ultimately, this micro-credential recognises a simple truth: better outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness depend not only on housing, but also on a capable, confident, supported, and connected workforce.

This online micro-credential provides a non-creditable micro-credential and digital badge which can be shared to your social networks and displayed in your professional portfolio.

Our micro-credentials are aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
