Short Course in Make Up for Theatre Productions (ACC00090)

Course summary

The two accredited units within this short course describe the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to collaborate with hair stylists, photographers and make-up professionals on make-up productions to apply creative make up techniques. 

Throughout this short course, students will learn how to interpret a make-up brief and liaise with a professional network to design, trial, and apply make-up.

Students undertaking this short course will put their theory skills into practice by participating in the make-up design and application for the 2017 Emmaus College Production in Rockhampton. 

The cost of this short course will be $225.00 per unit ($450 total).

Classes will be held across three weeks on the following dates:

Wednesday, 21 June 2017

Wednesday, 19 July 2017.

Practical assessment for this short course will be completed as part of the 2017 Emmaus College Production. Students must be available for make-up design and application at the Pilbeam Theatre from Thursday 21 July to Sunday, 23 July 2017.

Resource Requirements

Students are required to wear salon attire, make-up apron and enclosed shoes whilst on campus and on location for the production.

Any additional items such as make-up kits and other resources will be organised by CQUni.
