Course Intakes


There are eleven course intakes, available monthly from February to December.

Duration and dates
12 months full-time or 18 months part-time


This course is available online with teaching support available through Zoom meetings, email and telephone. Online students require self-motivation, sound literacy and numeracy skills with access to a computer and the internet. Students must have 4 - 6 hours per week available for study for each unit. Additional resources are required for this course. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  This qualification is being superseded by FNS30317 - Certificate III Accounts Administration and is not equivalent.  This qualification is in teach out.  If you would like to enrol into this qualification please call Rhona Strickland on 07 4920 2133 prior to enrolment to discuss units that will transfer to the new qualification.

Resource Requirements

As this is an online course, students will need access to a computer with good internet capacity. Students will also need to have the latest version of Adobe Reader, Microsoft Office with Microsoft Access and MYOB AccountRight Student Edition V19.10.

MYOB AccountRight Student Edition V19.10 will need to be purchased at the expense of the student. A discounted version of MYOB is available for CQUni students. Microsoft Office software is available for students at no cost. 

Internet access will be required to download any software packages. Instructions for downloading any required software or optional textbooks details will be provided to students after enrolment. Textbooks are an optional resource for this course as course materials are available online.

Is what I already know taken into account?

Yes. Your history of study, skills and experience does matter. Consideration is given to your prior life and work experiences as well as formal and informal training. This may be applied using the national standard for Mutual Recognition or through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Documentary evidence will be requested.
