Course Summary

The Diploma of Justice Studies is the ideal course to provide you with the skills and knowledge to launch your career in a range of justice and/or law enforcement fields. The course will provide you with a thorough understanding in justice-related areas including reading and interpreting legislation, social justice, crime and punishment, ethics in the public sector, interviewing, evidence law and investigation.

Requirements - To Be Eligible

For your application to be considered, you must meet the following entry requirements.

Entry Requirements

Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.

It is beneficial for those seeking entry into the Diploma satisfy at least one of the entry requirements provided below:

• successful completion of a Certificate IV in Crime and Justice Studies; or

• successful completion of a Certificate IV qualification; or

• completion of Year 12 or equivalent with a sound achievement in English; or

• relevant work or life experience in the business or justice fields

Course Structures
Online

Learners have a finish date for individual units but may complete their training sooner if they have reached the required skill level. As most students will undertake this distance program on a part-time basis, the duration for the full qualification will vary. The course can typically be completed in 18-24 months, based on approximately 1,800 hours of learning
