ENROLLED NURSES – Would you like to expand your nursing scope to include administration of Intravenous Medication? The National Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia has expanded the Scope of Practice of Enrolled Nurses in Queensland to allow inclusion of administration of Intravenous Medication. If you have completed the education unit for medication administration, work in an area that involves nursing clients who need Intravenous Medication and the organisation that you work for is prepared to support you, this unit would benefit you. Students undertaking this course will study the accredited unit HLTENN007 - Administer and monitor medicines and intravenous therapy.
Students must be a current Enrolled Nurse working in a facility that allows enrolled nurses to administer IV Medication.
Students must complete a Vocational Placement and/or Work Integrated Learning as part of this qualification.
Additional information
Students are required to complete 10 hours of vocational placement, this will require the student to supported by their facility. This placement is not arranged by CQUniversity.

Students will be required to attend a two (2) day compulsory face to face workshop which will be held on campus. Compulsory Residential
The two (2) day compulsory face-to-face workshop will be held on campus. For the June 2023 intake in Brisbane, students are required to be on campus on Monday the 12th and Tuesday the 13th of June from 8:30am to 3.00pm.
Students are required to complete three (3) assessments which are due prior to the workshop.
