Course Summary

This is the first of nine units of competency which will eventually be offered at CQUniversity. Each of the competencies are new and have not been delivered before 2023. Eight competencies are from UEG30122 Certificate III in Gas Supply Industry Operations under the UEG Gas Industry training package, and one from the Public Safety training package.  This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to prepare for, and work within a gas industry environment.   It includes an overview of the gas industry, types of gases, relevant mandatory safety regulations and workplace policies, procedures and work practices required for working in the Australian gas industry.

This unit is intended for entry-level workers who undertake basic activities in the gas industry.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
