Course Summary

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of mobile plant vehicles in the automotive service and repair industry. It is suitable for entry into the mining, construction and agricultural environment.

Entry Requirements

This course is for apprenticeship training only. Students must be employed as apprentices in a relevant industry.

This course is delivered and assessed under a third party agreement by PT Thiess Contractors, Indonesia to their staff only.

Student Outcomes, Career Opportunities and Occupations

Units have been selected by the employer to engage their apprentices in basic inspect and service skills on various components.

CQU has a third party agreement with PT Thiess Contractors, Indonesia which has been in operation since 2004. This agreement allows compliant trainers to deliver and assess staff in Indonesia under CQUni's scope of registration. All compliance documentation is held in VET Contract Management System on SharePoint and has been through the workflow for approval by Claude Favero and Peter Heilbuth. This; is a Fee-For-Service arrangement and the students receive training which is aligned to Australian apprentices but not funded by User Choice. Students are recruited by PT Thiess and taught English when attending block training.
