This course is delivered online and the units within this qualification are clustered together. Enrolment into all units under each cluster, and in the correct sequence listed in the Course Structure tab, is a requirement of the delivery. New students must enrol into Cluster 1. Students must complete a Vocational Placement and/or Work Integrated Learning as part of this qualification. A student who is already employed as a Teacher Aide can use their existing work to fulfil practical requirements for the qualification. All forms, assessments, resources and textbooks will be provided to students online in our Moodle platform.
This is a nationally recognised accredited course.
Required: Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.
Ability to complete Vocational Placement component for the duration of the Qualification with a minimum of 100 hours.
Ability to obtain a Suitability Card (Blue Card)
Recommended: Access to a Computer, Internet and intermediate computer skills.
The COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory to be eligible to attend a WIL placement for this course. Students will be required to provide evidence of having completed a COVID-19 vaccination schedule by the closing date prior to a WIL placement. The vaccine received must be a vaccine approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia.

Compulsory attendance
requirements
Students
who are not currently working in an educational workplace must organise a
voluntary work placement. All students
will need to complete third-party reports, practical assessment, and a
vocational placement logbook. These observations
and reports will need to be signed off by a registered teacher. Students will be required to complete a
minimum of 100 hours of placement throughout the duration of the course.
All students will need to hold a Blue Card prior to starting their
practical work placement.
