Course Summary

This qualification reflects the role of individuals with functions that could include financial data entry, processing accounts, and payrolls, providing customer service in financial transactions, and producing financial reports. 

Individuals in these roles apply skills and knowledge to demonstrate autonomy and judgement and to take limited responsibility in known situations under general supervision.

Entry Requirements

Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.

What is the purpose of bksb?

The Basic Key Skills Builder (bksb) is an approved online review tool that will give you a level for your English (literacy) and Maths (numeracy) levels, and can also help to identify any skill gaps or areas that you might need additional support in.

Student Outcomes, Career Opportunities and Occupations

This qualification consists of competency in 11 units. On successful completion of all 11 units, students will receive FNS30322 Certificate III in Accounts Administration.

Career opportunities: Accounts Assistant, Accounts Clerk, Office Assistant, Payroll Junior

Pathways: Some units of competency within FNS30322, may provide credit towards FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.

Students can also pathway into FNSSS00014 Accounting Principles Skill Set or FNSSSS00004 BAS Agent Registration Skill Set.

Course Structures
Online Course

12 mths - 18 mths

One (1) unit per 10 week study period

To ensure you can manage your study load, we recommend limiting your workload to no more than one (1) unit per study period.

Some students may progress at a faster rate based on their experience, knowledge, and skills, as they would be able to apply the actual context of workplace experience to their assessments.

This qualification consists of competency in seven (7) core and four (4) elective units.

Four (4) electives have been recommended for the Online Course delivery.

Students should enrol in a maximum of one (1) unit at a time, following the recommended sequence. 

For students wishing to enrol into more than the recommended one (1) unit maximum, this must be discussed with the Teacher prior to enrolling. 

On successful completion of all 11 units, students will receive a Certificate III in Accounts Administration.
