Course Summary

A set of skills to follow organisational infection prevention and control policies and procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks in organisations operating in the transport and logistics industry. This skill set is for individuals working in various capacities in transport and logistics who require the skills and knowledge to decrease the risk of and transmission of infection whilst carrying out their daily duties. This accredited skill set will provide businesses with the opportunity to comply with the government's mandatory COVID safe training that is for high risk industries.

Requirements - To Be Eligible

For your application to be considered, you must meet the following entry requirements.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course, funded by the Queensland Government, students must:

• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with an eligible visa class

• be 15 years old or over

• live in Queensland and have left school

• may already hold a certificate III or higher level qualification.

• An existing worker in the related industry (proof of existing worker eligibility can be your payslip that displays the ABN and Trading name, letter from your employer, your employment contract).

Students will need to have access to a reliable computer and internet connection. To complete this online short course students must have a sound level of reading, writing and computer literacy.
