This qualification is for indentured apprentices who are involved in the manufacture and installation of fitted furniture, typically in a kitchen, bathroom or related context. This qualification is delivered over four (4) years in five (5) stages. Each stage of training is unique and dedicated to providing the apprentice with a level of competence in line with the apprentice’s progress through their apprenticeship and industry expectation. Each stage is of varying duration based on the number of competencies being delivered and assessed. As the training and assessment are competency-based it may be possible for the apprentice to complete their training sooner if they demonstrate the required skill level during the stage being delivered.
This course is for apprenticeship training only. Students must be employed as apprentices in a relevant industry.
Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.
There are no other entry requirements.

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of skills at trade-level for those working in furniture making and those involved in the manufacture and installation of fitted furniture typically in a kitchen, bathroom and related context. Installation skills may be applied to new or renovation work.
