NACC00063 - Renovation Series - How to use basic power tools (RS1 of 6)

Course Summary

This is the first mandatory course from a series of six (6) 'Renovation Series'. This unit is a mandatory unit and must be completed before other units. The unit will cover how to safely use and maintain drop saw, nail gun, jigsaw, drill, power saw, spirit level, handsaw, chisel, and planers both electric and hand. Students may choose to do one or more in the Renovation Series. The fee for this short course will be $75.00

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: steel-capped boots, long cotton or denim pants, cotton shirt and safety glasses.

Student Outcomes, Career Opportunities and Occupations

  1. Students will receive a Result of Assessment within 21 days of completion of each unit/module or within 21 days of the ‘close of study’ date.
  2. Students who successfully complete all required units/modules will receive their qualification and an Academic Statement itemising all units/modules successfully completed.
  3. Following receipt of written advice from the student (or teacher) that the student does not intend to complete the full course, the student will be issued with a Statement of Attainment listing all units/modules successfully completed.

Upon completion of this course students will receive a Statement of Attendance for unit NU0063 - Use Basic Power Tools.
