Course Summary

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to transfer bulk fluids into/out of an ammonia storage facility.

This unit applies to operator technicians who are part of a team, required to demonstrate a significant understanding of the process and the equipment operation in a plant with local control, or in liaison with the control-room operator in a plant with a centralised control panel.

No licensing or certification requirements exist at the time of publication. Relevant legislation, industry standards and codes of practice within Australia must be applied.

Student Outcomes, Career Opportunities and Occupations

Students who complete this course will be able to work as operators in the ammonia manufacturing industry, or industries that use ammonia in their processes. 

This will form part of the PMA30120 Certificate III in Process Plant Operations under the PMA Chemical, Hydrocarbons and Refining Training Package. 

Students who undertake this short course will receive a Certificate of Participation.
