PDC135853 - Lift Fellowship Scheme

Course Details

Course Summary

The Lift Fellowship Scheme has been developed to utilise the framework offered by the PSF 2023 to offer bespoke development opportunities that will help you as educators achieve Fellowship ambitions and enhance your work as educators. We provide Application Development Workshops focused in the needs of each descriptor specifically designed to support the progress of your application. As applicants you will be required to attend one of these and will find accessing the relevant workshop will support your commencing work on your application. We also offer one on one mentoring support that you are required to attend. This is designed to assist you in developing your application and helping you construct reflective demonstrations of your practice.

CQUniversity and UniSQ are working together to create The Lift Fellowship Scheme and to become independently accredited institutions with the ability to review and award applications within the Australian higher education context in which they are developed. As a team, we are working directly with Advance HE to support educators to develop reflective strategies that help them respect a Code of Practice in relation to teaching and learning.

As two regional universities we have begun to understand that partnership can be powerful, we share similar passions, are occupied by similar concerns and shoulder similar limitations. The Lift Fellowship Scheme is the outcome of this partnership it is underpinned by the idea of lifting as you climb, learning how to work together to provide higher education learning environments that are relevant, high quality and success driven.

This micro-credential will provide staff at both institutions with the necessary resources, support and guidance to successfully gain Advance HE Fellowship. Staff can use these resources or multiple Fellowships.

Entry Requirements

Any staff member from UniSQ or CQU who provide teaching and/or support for learning can be recognised by Advance HE through the Lift Scheme depending on their professional practice and experience at one of four categories of fellowship and is therefore entitled to enrol in this micro-credential.

Course Structures

Study Mode Definitions

  • Online: Online courses provide the flexibility to study without normally requiring a student to visit a campus. Course content is studied through a number of means including the use of online discussion forums, electronic library resources, by contacting lecturers and teachers, and receiving study materials online/electronically. Work integrated learning, including placements, may be included in some courses.
  • On-campus: Students studying in on-campus mode typically are expected to attend and participate in regular, structured on-campus teaching and learning activities throughout the University’s academic term. These activities may include lectures, tutorials, workshops and practice, online or other activities and normally will be timetabled at a CQUniversity campus or approved delivery site.
  • Mixed Mode: Students studying in mixed mode will participate in a combination of online learning activities in addition to site-specific learning activities, which may include residential schools, co-op placements and/or work-integrated learning as a compulsory requirement of a unit. The additional site-specific learning activities are what differentiates a mixed-mode unit from an online unit.

*All study modes may include Vocational placement and/or work integrated learning.
