Course Summary

This online micro-credential will provide an overview of mental health issues in Australia and outlines the first response when encountering a person with a mental health problem, or experiencing a traumatic event or crisis. The micro-credential will outline appropriate strategies for the first responder to use in managing the situation until professional help is available.

This micro-credential can also be undertaken in a face to face workshop for groups of six or more participants by negotiation.

This mciro-credential provides Professional Development for health and/or fitness professionals.

Undertaking this micro-credential enables students to meet their Continuing Professional Development obligations and industry update requirements in their profession. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded 4 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours and a CQUniversity Certificate of Completion.

If you are a Registered Exercise Professional with Fitness Australia as a Group Exercise/Gym Instructor or greater, you will also be eligible to attain Fitness Australia CECs on the successful completion of this course.
