Course Summary

This online Short Course provides an introduction in strategies to practice Mindful Self-Care and Resiliency (MSCR). The course is an abbreviated online version of the original MSCR psychoeducation and skills-based program developed by Dr. Mark Craigie, Clinical Psychologist, to provide individuals with skills to be more resilient to workplace stress as well as prevent compassion fatigue and burnout.

The course will outline the core elements of MSCR. Topics covered include understanding and managing stress and compassion fatigue, identifying skills in self-regulation, intentionality, changing perceptions, sharing narratives, self-care, and mindfulness. Presented using lectures and readings from key professionals and researchers in the field, the course also provides students with an opportunity to engage in a mindfulness exercise.

The fee for this short course will be $100.00.
