PDC58963 - Alcohol and Other Drugs: Screening for Drug-Related Risks

Course Details

Course Summary

It has been increasingly recognised that prevention of substance-related issues entails more than discouraging use - it can include any effort to prevent negative consequences (e.g. motor vehicle accidents, health problems, unemployment, homelessness) that result from harmful alcohol or other drug use, as well as attempts to prevent hazardous use from progressing to addiction. Screening and brief intervention, in combination with well-defined pathways for referral to specialist treatment, provides a needed intersection between prevention and specialty treatment. This online Short Course will explore the process of screening for drug-related risks.

The fee for this short course will be $250.00.
