Course Summary

Those with a disability may require various types of assistance from basic care needs to more complex needs. This online Short Course is designed to assist both disability employees and carers with providing some of those needs. The course introduces the employee or carer to several aspects of personal care as well as developing communicating with dignity and respect whilst providing health care.

The fee for this short course will be $125.00.

This course provides Professional Development for staff who work in the disability sector.

Undertaking this course enables students to meet their Continuing Professional Development obligations and industry update requirements in their profession. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded 6 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours and a CQUniversity Certificate of Completion.

Study Mode Definitions

  • Mixed Mode courses are delivered online and require compulsory attendance of site-specific learning activities such as on-campus residential schools and/or workshops.
