Course Summary

Critical thinking skills are important across all aspects of your studies. This online Short Course will explore the concept of critical thinking as an analytical and discerning approach to evaluating information. This course will introduce critical thinking strategies to assess the validity of information, recognise faulty reasoning, and examine arguments from different perspectives so you can apply these techniques to your study and every day practices.

Students who successfully complete the set of 9 Short Courses* developed from the unit SKIL40025 Preparation Skills for University, (which forms part of the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) CL03), may be eligible for credit transfer, pending all other entry requirements to the Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS) CL03 are being met, as automatic entry will not apply.
