Course Details

Course Summary

Leaders with a mission and vision tend to be charismatic and attractive to followers. This is because focus and purpose have an alluring quality and can motivate and inspire others. To follow through on realising a mission, leaders who can be persuasive draw on tools of persuasion. This is because it is rarely the case that leading organisations are rarely without hurdles, challenges or constraints. To be able to overcome these challenges, not to mention articulate a vision and future that is yet to exist, great leaders employ tools such as storytelling, planning and thinking tools, and methods of persuasion. This is not to imply that persuasion is manipulation, but instead that it a means to advance the mission in an ethical and purposeful framework.

In this course, you will explore the ways that transformational leaders instigate positive change in organisations. You will begin by exploring the nature of storytelling in business and how storytelling assists leaders in communicating their vision to investors, directors and team members.
