This qualification reflects the roles of individuals working in the resources and infrastructure industries who perform mainly routine tasks and procedures, using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge, and taking some responsibility for the quality of the work outcomes.
Participants will learn the basics of health and safety, risk management, communication, planning and preparing to undertake a task, hand and power tool operation, measurements and calculations.
Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.
There are no other entry requirements for this course.
It is recommended that students have a sound knowledge of Year 10 Math and English
